How we can help

Trust Deeds were introduced in the 1980s by the Scottish government to help people gain control of their finances. They use government legislation to agree a manageable monthly payment between you and your creditors.

Got a question? Maybe we have an answer for you here . . .

All Trust Deeds are based on your individual circumstances: your income and expenditure; debt level; assets and who your creditors are. Every week these figures can change due to interest, charges, overtime, market fluctuations etc. This makes it almost impossible to give an accurate monthly payment online. A quick chat with our qualified debt advisors means they can give you a figure once they have assessed your information. We would not want to tell you a price which may be incorrect before knowing all the facts.

A Trust Deed is Scottish legislation and the payments are based around what YOU can afford and what your creditors WILL accept. It is not a product that you can get a quote for online or shop around for to get a better deal. Debt advice and formal debt solutions operate within a regulated market and are all bound by the same criteria, so always check that any website you put details into has the relevant qualification and registrations displayed and will not sell your details onto third party companies.

Trust Deed Scotland® is the largest provider of Debt Advice in Scotland. Be very wary of any company that cold calls you, or you are not familiar with as they may be telemarketing companies who are not qualified. Take note of their phone number and ask for their FCA number. If in doubt give us a call and we will check for you. We only contact clients that come to us first, we do not cold call.

Debt Advice is now regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, same as: pensions; mortgages; life Insurance and other financial products. It is imperative that you speak to someone with the relevant experience and qualifications, rather than a salesperson to ensure you get the best advice and can make an informed decision about what’s best for you.

Trust Deed Scotland®, unlike others, has never and will never charge a setup fee for Trust Deeds. We offer free, no obligation Debt Advice to thousands of people every year.

As long as you have a rough idea of most of your debts, we can begin the process. We can also guide you on how to obtain a free credit check, which may help you get any other information you may need to provide.

Our service is no obligation. If your circumstances change and you do not wish to proceed at any point that’s no problem at all, just let us know you don’t want to proceed.
